Ms. Brenda Lee O’Neal, 63, of Wendell, North Carolina, departed this life on February 25, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 8, 1962, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Johnston County to the late Gertrude H. O’Neal, Eddie L. Bradshaw, and Fred O’Neal Jr. Proceeding her in death is one brother David O'Neal and one granddaughter Jada O'Neal
Brenda received her education in Johnston County Public Schools and Wake County Public Schools. Throughout her working years, she was a dedicated and hardworking employee. She worked for several years at Jersey Mike’s, where she excelled and was promoted to Store Manager. She also worked at Wellington Nursing and Rehabilitation in Knightdale, North Carolina, serving faithfully as Head Laundry Technician. Brenda took pride in her work and truly enjoyed the relationships she built along the way.
Outside of work, Brenda found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and friends. She loved crocheting and had a vibrant spirit that lit up every room. Brenda never met a stranger and will always be remembered as the life of the party. Her laughter, warmth, and outgoing personality left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
In 1997, Brenda was baptized at Eastern Star Holiness Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. She loved life and loved the Lord in her own way, holding firmly to her faith throughout the years.
Brenda leaves to cherish her precious memories her three children: Matilda Perry (Andre) of the home; Dona Adams (Derek) of Kenly; and James O’Neal of the home. She is also survived by her uncle, Billy Hinton (Estell); her aunt, Bettie Bradshaw; three brothers, George (Debra), Kenneth (Robin), and Larry O’Neal; and six sisters, Bettie O'Neal Robbins (Van), Shirley O Bridges, Angela O Bledsoe (Naisa), Chandra Wells, Barbara McCallister, and Brenda Bradshaw.
She leaves behind 15 beloved grandchildren: Tylikia, Le’Andre, Andtaisha, Andre Jr., Andreesha, and Kaydence Perry; Deonna, Donovan, Derek Jr., and Steven Adams; and Mariah, Jaeven, Zaiden, Zaileeana O’Neal, and Le’ondre Brown; along with 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her devoted companion of over 20 years, Wandell Holden, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Brenda’s love, strength, and joyful spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
